Look Up, Look Up

Posted by Gospel Sight on

"Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty, I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelations 21: 1-8

"Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” Revelations 6:15-17

Although so much could be talked about in these verses, today we will use it as a reference guide for our daily individual lives. But first, I want to paint another picture of perspective for us to think about based on the two choices we have in this life and the outcome of our choices once judgment days comes and God judges all our hearts. Jesus loves is so great and massive, but he won't let sin live forever. Justice simply has to come one day. So it only makes sense to live for Jesus daily. Knowing forever life will be ours.

The name of Jesus rings on, and the depth of meaning comes to one's mind. Holy, holy, holy rings on forevermore. As the holy, holy hits earth, many who have given such disrespect run and hide. For the words hurt their very soul for now no grace is shown, no mercy, no love, for they never chose the love that was graciously given day in to day out. Now as it reaches their soul, they feel the hurt, they feel the evil they truly are. The nothingness they are for truly they are without God. The mirroring picture of themselves is shown and they feel the life that God has given them so freely slowly slipping away one breathe at a time. They thought they were gods; they thought that god was a joke; they mocked, and hurt those who held His name above all. They had no belief in God. Now the real reality has hit them, and they deep down wonder why they were so mislead, and so foolish. They want to justify their own actions, so they step back into the devils light to feel justified in their choices. Embracing more darkness than ever before within their souls and all guilt fades and pure hate enters and as it does, they are forever gone from any light.

They hated right, they hated true love for each action and behind action within from the heart proved to God this is true. They lived for selfish reasons, for money, drink, and higher living. They neglected the poor, the needy, and their love was only for self; never for anyone else. God reads the heart over all else. Leaving on this day, all is well in each soul for they chose each step. Each breathtaking ownership of it, with freedom of choice this is true. I choose love…I choose it over and over!

Backing up to now —the day where grace, love, forgiveness, and protection is still in the air, in the name of Jesus each second. It is as real as the air we breathe.

Does one believe this is true? Does one have such connection that these words aren’t mocked but accepted? The name of Jesus has power so high that all the heavens —all created beings bow down and worship for they understand much deeper than we do the love of Jesus; the forever giving life-giver, wisdom, and purpose for breathing. Even demons shake in fear, for they too understand Jesus. Luckily and awesomely, since we chose Jesus, we have nothing to fear. His perfect love sees us as perfect. As long as we daily keep going to Jesus for guidance, forgiveness, and protection.

We only have one mission here on earth. Choose who you will serve —after that help others and live life and enjoy what God has given us and as we do, be the light to those who need it most. Why does this type of life and type of conversation sound so foreign to many? Why do people run from these words? Why does anyone reject the heavenly given realities that surround them?

Since when did the name of Jesus become so rejected? Since when did we respect others more than such a Holy and precious name? Jesus.

Since when did our faith loose sight of our true mission? If the whole world embraced the name of Jesus, wouldn’t you? It would be seen as cool, but if this is the only reason you do anything, “Because everyone does it…” I must ask, where do you as one person stand? What if everyone else was gone and it was just you; what would matter then? Can’t one see this is how it is on a spiritual side? Jesus reads our heart, our mind, and our choices, and within all of this, He sees us in perfect love — sees us in perfect light, but until we truly say we stand behind Him — that we breathe and live for Him and truly show it by studying His words, sharing His love and taking and putting our hearts into it — being brave and not afraid to say His name— willing to go and talk of all His love, all His wisdom, His grace, and graciousness…it is of no use. Jesus can only accept those who accept and live for Him. He wants realness…heart to heart talks…I guess let me explain in another way.

You are about to graduate college, you just got there though. You literary haven’t taken any test, and haven’t study at all. You know nothing in the field you choose. But the president comes and hands you the papers saying you are certified and ready for work the next day. Even has you set up with a job and you start tomorrow.

You take the paper but you feel bad, for feeling not ready. You know you need more information, more knowledge, and more connections within for the job. The only connection you have is —you applied for school, took the first steps to go, and showed up, but that is all. You only opened one door. You show up the next day for the job and halfway into the day, you make the company lose 3.5 million dollars for your job was to ensure a good trade, but you knew nothing about it, so you guessed on it and made the wrong choice. You didn’t know how to predict or read the data in front of you. You only understood 1% of your job. How would you feel here?

This is how it is with God in a lot of ways. This is the walk between good and evil. Many of us open the door to God, we say we believe, we take the action to do this, but we leave it right there. We never make any more actions to grow with Jesus. We forget to study, to apply then what we know.

The second we open the door to God, we are given wisdom, love, protection, grace, forgiveness, and all the fruits of the Spirit. But we now must study and daily keep traveling on in this area of life, this road to heaven, this spiritual side of life.

Our actions, our choices need to line up to this. God gives us so much the second we choose Him, but with sin, we need to understand what is good and what isn’t. A lot of this is common sense in many ways, but God wants you to live as well as you can. To be able to help those around you, to be a light for Him. This takes years and years, and there's no need to rush the process. As in, God takes you where you are and slowly teaches you. He reads your heart above all else.

Take the story, if you studied for 4 years and all that happened, and day one you turned that 3.5 million into pure profit, you would have created right then and there a legacy behind your name. Your name would have a great impact when others heard it. They would truly believe and know you know your knowledge, for truly your actions have proven it’s true.

You put the time, the passion, the heart and energy to make this all happen. You stayed on the pathway to make it a reality. You understood what to dodge, what papers to file, and how then to negotiate the trade. Of course with Jesus it’s a free gift, salvation is, but we still need to make conscious choices for either good or bad, doing so daily, To not just accept Jesus and think that’s it. It’s a daily renewal. A daily invitation Jesus asks us: "Will you follow Me today?"

I guess what I am trying to say is. Many of us, we live in the world, we dodged between Gods pathway and our own and as we do this we live a mixed life at times. One that isn't as spiritual as it could be. A life that has so many worldly concepts of the world, so many reflections of the world, that one could ask: where is God in all of this? If anyone sees us, they may wonder if we are any different than they are? As in, are we spiritually alive or dead?

We forget God a lot of the time. Life is busy, is made to keep us busy, but we can’t get so busy we forget who has given us life.

Balance is key and most importantly when it comes to your walk with Jesus, it is personal. Very so, but if we show love to all, —show kindness, show wisdom — forgiveness, compassion -- we will show light to all who need it most. We will be mirror Jesus to others.

No man is better than the next, this is true, God sees everyone the same. If we break one law of God, we have broken them all. Meaning also, if we show one person love, one person who God is, we have shown God and all in the universe Jesus. We have completed our mission. Now repeat and as we repeat, keep loving and Jesus will keep us growing. Jesus will be growing us into perfect beings as we keep walking with him. Our light becomes brighter because it really isn’t our light, but God’s. Our very souls will fly, we will find purpose.

I will leave you with just this question: have you ever helped someone? Like has someone ever come to you for an answer? How has this made you feel? Were you able to see the answer click within? Did you see the excitement —the thankfulness —the love in the air? Did you feel very well in your soul —didn’t you almost want to fly a little yourself?

Helping others is a higher power that we never can truly understand until we do more of it. It becomes a drug, and life becomes very meaningful. If we all would live for each other rather than ourselves, we all would fly in spirit. For balance would be created. Support and love would. Nobody would fall behind because we wouldn’t let them; we would run and carry them on until they could travel. Then if we fall and get hurt, they would do the same because greater love was shown so they naturally would want to do so in return. It only makes sense.

May we all shine the name of Jesus more often. May we all shine love more often. May we all never be afraid of what we believe in. May we all understand the butterfly effect which is, one small action can create another and another and the after effect can be huge.

It starts off small but can turn into a mountain. Imagine now what one act of love can do? Imagine what one word of Jesus can do?

When Jesus comes, I want the words Holy holy to make me start to fly for I seek it so daily; that Jesus just pulls me up to join in because our connection is so strong He is so happy to be able to dwell with us finally in perfect peace, face to face. Let's allow our joy to be that great! Let's allow our love for one another and God to pour out forevermore.

Thank you,
